Alston Records of Tone Distributors is betting on Betty Wright’s new single – “Mama, I’ve Found That Guy” written by another Alston artist, Clarence Reid who also produced the session. Henry Stone, Tone president, announced that Steve Alaimo is producer of Marlin Records – another company label. Gwen McCrae’s release “Lead Me On” was produced by Alaimo for Columbia.
