2 Live Jews – As Kosher As They Wanna Be – BILLBOARD (1990)

The surprise isn’t that someone finally got around to making a parody of 2 Live Crew’s “As Nasty As They Wanna Be,” it’s that this record, made by comedian Eric Lambert and performer Joe Stone (son of TK Records founder Henry Stone), is funny all the way through. It might not age well, but the first listening is hilarious and the raps are better than one could reasonably hope. It’s not totally clean — there are sex jokes aplenty — but no one could take offense at this, as the stereotypes are so widely drawn. Watch for the first single and video, “Oui It’s So Humid,” a takeoff on “Me So Horny.”
