Long before
the British invation, there was a lot of blue-eyed soul music in the U.
S. in places that never got mass exposure. Steve Alaimo was one of the
first to explore this genre. His backing musicians included members of
the James Brown band and other R&B band legends. He also had some
of Nashville's best songwriters providing material for him to record.
He hosted a TV show called "Where The Action Is!" Alaimo recorded
a lot of great tunes. He has personally chosen his favorite recordings
for this compilation. Anyone who enjoys the 50s and 60s oldies will love
these tracks!
