Latimore Wins Blues Critic Award

Congratulations to Latimore for Winning the Blues Critic 2007 Southern Soul Blues Song of the Year Award!

This year over 75,000 ballots were cast in the Blues Critic Southern Soul Awards.
We at Henry Stone Music are very excited about winning the Southern Soul Blues Song of the Year!

Latimore had this to say, “I am very honored to be chosen for this award. It is selected by the true blues fans so it means a lot to me.”

Blues Critic says: “Don’t call it a comeback he’s been here for years …but this was the first single from his first album in five-plus years. The brilliant “My Give A Damn Gave Out (A Long Time Ago)” is just a good old soul song with clever lyrics.”

In a career spanning over 35 years, beginning in the 1960s recording for Miami music legend Henry Stone, Latimore has created numerous hits. Henry Stone is celebrating his 60th year in the music business and has over two dozen gold and platinum hits on his record labels. Now, Henry Stone, founder of the famed TK Records, and chart-topping TK artist Latimore are back together again with the launch of the new LatStone Record Label.

Their first album, Back ‘Atcha, a collection of soulful R&B grooves, delivers ten new original tracks with a unique blend of Soul & Blues featuring Latimore’s rich, signature vocals that lifted him to the top of the Billboard R&B &Pop Charts. The first single release, “My Give A Damn Gave Out”, is a laidback, mid-tempo Soul Blues track with a melody and hook that have you singing along and riffs that set it off with the soulful vocals from Latimore that make this an instant classic.

Latimore, Henry Stone and everyone at Henry Stone Music would like to thank all the fans for once again making us Number 1!
