Davey Jones was a smooth singing doo wop star who laced gospel’s gutbucket grit through his velvet toned melodies. His voracious appetite for performing saw him through hundreds of legendary nightclub dates in the Magic City and forever etched his memory in the hearts and minds of all those lucky enough to catch him live. Very rarely recorded, except in landmark sessions for Florida indie pioneer Henry Stone and his various labels.
